A heartfelt thanks to all who walked, volunteered, donated or participated in some way in the 2010 Buddy Walk. We had more than 2,200 people participate this year making it the largest Buddy Walk since its inception in 2004.
Congratulations to all of the teams and buddies for the spirit and creativity displayed at the Buddy Walk this year! We have never seen the track filled with so many signs, props, characters and bag pipes before! A special thank you to Rita’s Water Ice on Rt. 202 for donating water ice to our winning teams!
The 2010 Buddy Walk Challenge winner is Team Triple J – Buddy: J.J. Justice - Team Captain: Melissa Renzi-Justice.
The Buddy Walk Challenge awards a trip for two to the National Down Syndrome Congress (NDSC) Convention to the team or Buddy that raises the most in donations and registrations by May 26. This year’s convention will take place at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Congratulations to Heather and Mark Messner, parents to Rileigh, as the winners of the Buddy Walk Scholarship in Memory of Gregory "Grampy" Benson. The scholarship will allow the Messners to attend the 2010 National Down Syndrome Congress Convention this July 16-18 in Orlando, Florida.
