Event Day

Motorcycle Run 11:00 AM

NEW THIS YEAR! For all the motorcycle enthusiasts, saddle up and join our Motorcycle Run, an hour celebratory ride prior to the walk. Return from your ride in time to join the walk and all the fun filled events.

To participate, just register for the Buddy Walk and be sure to check the box for participation in the Motorcycle Run. Pre-register on-line or by mail by May 8th and save $5 or register on event day.

Check in at registration between 10 AM and 11 AM on event day and receive the course map. The first hundred participants will receive a special Buddy Walk t-shirt.

Registration begins at 11:30 AM

If you are pre-registered, go directly to registration to check-in and pick up your t-shirt.

If you are registering on event day, please bring your completed registration form and payment to the registration tent. T-shirts will be distributed on a first-come first-served basis as supplies last.

New – Early T-shirt Pick-up

All pre-registered walkers may pick up their t-shirt on Saturday, May 16 from 10 AM to 5 PM at the event site.

The Walk begins at 12:30 PM

This is what it's all about! Meet your Buddy (person with Down syndrome) or team in front of the stage at 12:30 PM for the opening ceremony and one-mile walk.

During the walk, teams will be judged on spirit. So create motivational signs or banners with your Buddy or team name to show off during the walk. A gift certificate to a local ice cream vendor will be awarded to the team or Buddy with the most spirit.

Buddy Blast 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Free activities for toddlers to teenagers including: carnival games, crafts, face painting, young athletes’ tent, moon bounce, obstacle course, karaoke, a dance party, silent auction, raffles and more. Food and beverage will also be available for purchase.

Dance Party 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Dance …Dance ….Dance…..Dance your shoes off in front of the stage or try your voice at karaoke. If dancing or singing is not your thing…sit back, relax and be prepared to be entertained.

Directions to the University of Delaware Athletic Complex

Take I-95 South to Rt. 896 North, exit 1B Newark. Proceed approximately 1.5 miles to the University of Delaware Athletic Complex on the right. Plenty of free parking is available at the Athletic Complex.
