As the count down to the Buddy Walk begins, start building momentum and members for your team with a night out on the town. Join us at Dead Presidents Restaurant and Pub on North Union Street in Wilmington where proceeds from sales will go to the Buddy Walk. Participants must be 21 or older. Team Captain packets will also be available.

A monthly meeting of parents, guardians and caretakers of adults with Down Syndrome. Issues of concern and avenues of advocacy are discussed. Speaker: William Love, Director of Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities

This parent meeting will host two different speakers in two different rooms. 1. Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Maureen Egan will facilitate a discussion on potty training individuals with special needs. Conversation will include medical issues, challenges and parent experiences. 2. Dr. LeComte, D.O. from Christiana Healthcare Services will speak on the issue of transitioning your child from pediatric to adult health care services. Please RSVP to let us know you are coming. Join us at our annual Valentine's Dance. Though the teens and adults overwhelm the dance floor...children and families of all ages are welcome. Music by Jammin' DJ Jeff. Pizza, dessert and drinks will be provided. Please RSVP to let us know you are coming.

Calling all Delaware DADS! You know we only see each other while putting up or tearing down the Buddywalk or at a meeting or at a hayride with our children in tow and no time to talk before being pulled this way and that. Here is your chance to meet and talk with other DSA of Delaware fathers Tuesday February 28, 2012 – from 6:30 pm until we are done Stewart’s Brewing Company 219 Governor’s Place, Bear DE 19701. There is a small agenda as we will meet with Joe Mears from the D.A.D.S National Group (Dads Appreciating Down syndrome) http://www.dadsnational.org/ and then talk about forming an affiliate chapter in Delaware. Help in the planning of our biggest event!

A monthly meeting of parents, guardians and caretakers of adults with Down Syndrome. Issues of concern and avenues of advocacy are discussed. This month guest presenter will be Tina Guerrier from Chimes Delaware. Ms. Guerrier will give an overview of their homes in Delaware and the work they do in their vision for the future.

Let your voices be heard and the songs be sung. Drinks and pizza will be provided Please bring a small dessert to share. Please RSVP to let us know you are coming!

Join us for our Annual Egg Hunt and Luncheon. Children from infant and up will have the opportunity to hunt for eggs filled with candy and treats. Four rooms will be set up by age group for the Egg Hunt, so that each age group will have it's own area to hunt for the eggs. Bring a basket or bag to collect your eggs. Pizza and chicken and beverages will be provided. The Egg Hunt will begin at 2:15 PM. Please RSVP if you plan to attend so that we can be sure to have enough Easter eggs, prizes and food for all!! Be sure to bring a basket or bag for each child to collect their eggs.
