Volunteering is a great way to get involved. From our many events, to specific committees, to advocacy and other needs, we are always looking for people excited to help us in our mission. Specific volunteer needs include:
- Buddy Walk
- Run for the Buds
- Rock Your Socks Mis-matching Party
- Northern – Days of Summer Camp
- Southern – Days of Summer Camp

Buddy Walk – help plan and execute our biggest and most popular event hosted in May
Run for the Buds – help plan the run/walk event hosted in October
Education – help plan and implement parent meetings, workshop, support meetings – interface with other disability organizations on conferences and best practices in education
Social Activities – help plan and implement year round activities for families, children, teens and adults
Government Affairs – advocate for our children and adults on the local and national level
Outreach – create new parent packets, make phone calls and visits to new parents, mentor, hold meet and greet activities
Website – help maintain the website, updating content and photos
Finance – work with the treasurer to report on and analyze the organization’s funding and expenses
Volunteer – recruit, train and organize volunteers for all functions
